Strategies for a Sustainable Implementation of TRE® in Diverse Contexts

The ADVANCED TRAINING offers two options, depending on your TRE® Status:


5 Days  – Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th March – open for TRE® Certification Trainers, Certification Trainer Trainees, Mentors, Mentor Trainees and Advanced Providers.

3 Days  – Friday 10th to Sunday 12th March – open for ALL certified TRE® Providers (L2).

Content – Wednesday and Thursday:

  • Joan and Mariano will share their experience and provide learning to build our Training and Supervision Skills
  • Theoretical components will be integrated into experiential learning by practicing in pairs, triads and small groups.
  • Overview of new training components ‘ The Simplicity and Complexity of TRE®’ (David Berceli’s Advanced Trainings in 2016)
  • Exploration of strategies for a sustainable implementation of TRE® in diverse contexts
  • NOTE: Annual meeting of SA Certification Trainers, CT trainees and Mentors will take place on Thursday evening from 7pm.

Content – Friday to Sunday:

  • Presentation of updated TRE® Theory – “Exploring the Simplicity and Complexity of TRE® which includes the Neurology of Self-Regulation, Neurobiology of Self-Reflection and Wisdom, Central Pattern Generators and more.
  • Deepening of personal TRE® practice and practicing skills to enhance our capacity for observation and interventions.
  • Enhancing our capacity of group leading skills with an emphasis on diverse context (language, culture, creed, social and structural environments including corporate and NGO work).

TIME: All days run from 9:00 to 17:00 except for Sunday 16:00

Mariano and Joan are members of the international TRE® Trainer Support Team (TST) that is responsible for the development and improvement of TRE® Training Programs globally. They both offer vast knowledge and experience having taught TRE® in cross-cultural and humanitarian context and offered TRE® Provider Training in different countries.

Joan is a Registered Social Worker (RSW), TRE® Certification Trainer, an experienced Counselor and trained as Bioenergetic Therapist, group facilitator and consultant. Joan McDonald has had many diverse leadership roles. Joan has been an educator for twenty- five years in the community college system as a learning manager in the Human Services program and a learning consultant in the public sector. Joan is a highly respected consultant having worked in health and human service organizations where employees are experiencing a high degree of stress, dysfunction and trauma.

Today Joan is the only TRE® Certification Trainer in Canada. She spends 5 months of the year in Asia where she is establishing Global Certification Training Programs in Thailand, Nepal and agency trainings in Singapore. Joan has offered TRE® in humanitarian contexts in Myanmar, Japan and the Philippines. In 2015 she established a Disaster relief program in Nepal under the newly established organization TRE® – Humanitarian Support Asia and is the interim Certification Trainer for Japan.

Born in Brasíia, Brazil, in 1966, Mariano grew up in six different countries (Brazil, Ivory Coast, Angola, Senegal, France, USA) where he had the opportunity to experience  the importance of cultural diversity as well as the depth of the transcultural essence of human beings.

He is a Certified Bioenergetics Therapist – CBT by the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis – IIBA (www.iiba.com) and trained in Core Energetics (a body-centered transformational process that integrates the work with the body, mind, heart and spirit) by its founder, John Pierrakos MD.  Mariano is a Certified Community Therapist by the Universidade Federal do Ceará – UFC, and has been working with groups in several “precarious communities” (slums) in the outskirts of Brasília since 2001. He is a founder associate member and a Director of the Movimento Integrado de Saúde Comunitária – MISMEC-DF (www.mismecdf.org) , a nonprofit organization dedicated to peace building and health promotion through the creation and strengthening of social webs of solidarity and community support.

In the past couple of years he has been integrating TRE® both, in his private practice as well as in the work with communities.  Mariano is fluent in Portuguese, French and English and has good understanding and basic communication skills in Spanish.

 

COST:

5 Days (8 – 12 March) for Certification Trainers, CT Trainees, Mentors, Mentor Trainees and Advanced Providers:

  • R 5900 (appr. US$ 430/€ 400 subject to currency rate changes)

5 Day Early Bird until 15 January 2017:

  • R 5400 (appr. US$ 400/€ 370 subject to currency rate changes)


3 Days for all certified Providers (L2), 10 – 12 March:

  • R 3900 (appr. US$ 290/€ 260 subject to currency rate changes)

3 Day Early Bird, available until 15 January 2017:

  • R 3400 (appr. US$ 260/€230 subject to currency rate changes)


PLEASE NOTE:
Above fees do not include accomodation. Day visitors who do not stay at SALT ROCK HOTEL are paying an additional R 390 (appr. US$29/€ 26) per day for morning and afternoon teas, lunch and venue.
