Introduction to TRE®-Tension Release Exercises ~ Relaxed Body, Relaxed Mind

Tension Release Exercise, TRE® is an innovative physical technique that allows the body to naturally shake away stress, unwind buried tension and calm the nervous system in an intentional and controlled manner.
The exercises of TRE® are a series of simple movements designed to gently stretch and mildly fatigue contracted muscles in the body. TRE®’s reflexive muscle vibrations generally feel pleasant and soothing. After doing TRE® many people report feelings of peace and well-being.
It is effective as a stand-alone practice and deepens other mindful practices such as yoga, tai-chi and meditation. TRE® works for all body types and is easily adapted for all fitness levels and mobility challenges.
This 2-hour introductory workshop will provide a brief introduction to tension and stress and its impact on the body, followed by an experiential demonstration of the TRE process.
There will be ample time for discussion and questions afterward.
