Join us Saturday Sept 15th at 9:30 am for an introductory session of TRE for relief from deeply held stress and tension-a natural outcome of living in the world.
What is TRE?
TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is an innovative method that assists the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE® safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or tremoring that releases muscular tension and calms the nervous system. By activating this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism in a safe and controlled environment, the body and nervous system are encouraged to return to a state of balance and equilibrium.
TRE® is based on the hypothesis, backed by research, that tension, stress, and trauma affect people both psychologically and physically. TRE®’s reflexive muscle vibrations feel pleasant and calming to most people. After doing TRE®, there’s often a sense of calm and well-being reported. Reducing stress in the psoas muscle group may also affect levels of pain.
Heather Hruby MS LIMHP LADC is a certified TRE provider who is also in private practice as a mental health and substance abuse therapist. Heather will be facilitating this group. All participants should be able to perform light exercises and stretching. Bring an exercise mat and a blanket or small pillow as part of the session will involve lying on one’s back.
There is a limited amount of space for this introductory session. So please sign up today by emailing hhruby@gmail.com. There’s a fee of $45 for the 75 minute class.
TRE may not be suitable for persons with high levels of emotional trauma without sufficient screening.
