The run up to Christmas can often be a very stressful time. So much to organise,  and budget for. Only a small amount of time and so much to do. The pressure really begins to mount up.

Sometimes Christmas can be a challenging time, especially if you have recently lost someone close to you.

Grief can be difficult especially at times like Christmas, all those memories, and just missing your loved ones.

Thankfully, TRE is an amazing tool for coping with stress and grief.

TRE  helps to regulate the nervous system and brings you out of the fight/flight response and into a calm, grounded and socially engaged state of being. The shaking is a natural outlet to release the stored up tension and stress hormones. Over time you can learn to recognise where you are in your nervous system and regulate yourself back to a calm and grounded state of being.

The best thing about TRE is that it is very simple to learn and once learned, TRE can be practiced safely at home as a lifelong tool to manage stress. It doesn’t take that long to practice once you know how to do it and can literally be done for up to 10 minutes a day if that’s what you want.

TRE is very simple to learn and best learned with an experienced TRE provider.

In this 2 hour introduction to TRE workshop you will learn:

  • Some simple grounding techniques,
  • How the body reacts to perceived danger
  • How to do the TRE exercises
  • How to start and stop the shaking
  • What is self regulation
  • How and when to self regulate to stop.

You will be taken through up to two or three rounds of shaking so that you are comfortable with the starting and stopping, and shaking .

It’s a great tool to help you to cope with the stresses that Christmas can sometimes bring.
