1 on 1 sessions teach the client how to safely perform the TRE exercises and develop their ability to self-regulate the process and practice on their own. Modifications and other methods to amplify the process and facilitate deeper release are also offered in a safe space.
At Red Beard TRE our providers bring a wide range of supplemental knowledge and training in trauma-informed modalities to the session. Additionally, our providers have been offering TRE online since 2017, so have developed a strong skillset that can help you navigate technology, cameras and how to develop a safety over video conferencing platforms.
TRE® is a simple technique that uses exercises to release stress or tension from the body that accumulate from every day circumstances of life, from difficult situations, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences (i.e., natural disasters, high stress, social or domestic violence). TRE® is a set of six exercises that help to release deep tension from the body by evoking a self-controlled muscular shaking process in the body called neurogenic muscle tremors. The uniqueness of this technique is that this shaking originates deep in the core of the body of the psoas muscles. These gentle tremors reverberate outwards along the spine releasing tension from the sacrum to the cranium.
