For professionals as well as the public.

This training is geared towards those who want to certify as TRE® instructors. Still, the training, and especially module 1 attracts those who want to deepen their personal TRE® process and therefore participate in the TRE® training program without wanting to work toward certification. This option may suit you if you want to learn more about TRE® for your own personal practice and gain a better understanding of trauma and the effects of stress and trauma on the body and the nervous system.

Basic skills and requirements for participation.

You need to have previous experience with TRE® and feel somewhat confident in the basics of self-regulation skills and methods. We will teach these skills in the training and provide online support throughout the training but as this is an online training where we are not in the same location it is important that you have these basic self-help skills for use at home. Also, if you are in immediate need of stabilization and therapy we invite you to contact us for individual online sessions.

TRE® Facilitators

Hans Holter Solhjell

Hans Holter Solhjell

Hans will be leading this online certification training.

About Hans: I came to TRE® ten years agog after 15 years of bodywork experience, integrating various methods, including emotional release work. I found in TRE®, in addition, to the personal benefits, a very effective way of teaching individuals and groups how to re-connect with their own capacity for self-healing and stress regulation using the body’s own innate self-regulation mechanisms trough tremoring and autonomous movement.

I have a master’s degree in pedagogy from the University of Oslo. In addition, I am certified in the Feldenkrais method, Communicology and Somatic Experiencing, in addition to being a TRE® Certification Trainer.

On a daily basis, I work as a trainer, supervisor, course leader/organizer. I also work with parents, kindergartens, and schools with a focus on relationships with children, communication, conflict resolution, trauma, and regulation support.

Another part of my practice is working with adults and body-oriented pedagogy/self-development and trauma therapy.

I also have developed several models for teaching conflict resolution and trauma-related topics, like the PLS regulation support model, the response funnel, and the perspective-taking spiral.
