She brings with her over a decade in professional performance and somatic exploration as a movement artist in Europe and the United States, and a BA previous to that (Swarthmore College, PA) in Anthropology, Theater, and Peace & Conflict Studies. Guiding felt-sense anatomy as movement and meditative resourcing, Mel is grateful to have trained directly under structural anatomists and authors Tom Myers, James Earles; Gyrotonic system founder Juliu Horvath; Body Intelligence founder and author Ged Sumner; Sheila Kean; and as a trained doula, under the women's wisdom and witness of midwife activists Ibu Robin Lim and Debra Pascali-Bonaro.
