Nastasia Antonova Provider Name: Nastasia Antonova Certified TRE® Provider Email This Provider + 44 7860114263 Cambridge Cambridgeshire England, Russia female Physical Therapist English, Russian Yes I am a mental health physiotherapist working in a large hospital in Cambridge. While working in this field, I developed a great interest in the connection between body and mind, body intelligence and the body’s incredible potential for self-healing. This link between mood and movement is the direction in which I am developing my profession skills. I completed yoga teacher training so I could teach my clients principles of yoga, mindful movements and breath awareness. My therapeutic approach is to guide my clients through nourishing and grounding movements, to offer relaxation in restorative postures and to develop body awareness using yoga Nidra and ultimately to find a unique way for everyone to meet their own body in a joyful way. Doing a trauma sensitive yoga course with TCTSY gave me guidance on delivering yoga sessions to those affected by trauma, for whom the body is not a safe place. I am always on a lookout for new ways to help my clients to use the body natural and inherent wisdom to assist their recovery journey. I first experimented with bioenergetics exercises and holotropic breath work, however these practices were unsuitable for my acutely unwell clients. Soon I discovered TRE and started practising myself. I entered a TRE college programme and introduced the TRE to my colleagues: therapists, mental health nurses and psychiatrists. All of them responded with interest, offered their total support and themselves engaged in the practice. We recognised the benefits of TRE as a unique, democratic method that is helping to wake up the body by optimising the function of muscles and connective tissues, restoring homeostasis, and improving our interpersonal relationships. 1
