This full day training practical advanced training develops understanding of how to observe the movements and restrictions in the body and explores when and how to support clients in connecting deeper with their body using touch.
The day will explore the following through demonstration, practical sessions in pairs and discussion:
– Negotiating relational space and the use of presence
– Negotiating touch
– How to touch
– Dosing
– Key touch interventions
– Considerations on when to use touch
Takeaways include enhanced relational attunement, confidence in exploring allowing versus interpretation & intervention, when to use touch in sessions within a framework of regulation and relationship, confidence in ‘holding bodies’ when using touch and a deepening of personal process.
