What do you get?
The unique thing about our Flemish training is that both the content and the approach are specifically translated to our country, because the guidance is provided by two Flemish TRE trainers with years of experience in the healthcare sector and healthcare companies. Because every country has specific rules, sensitivities and contexts, which other (foreign) trainers are unfortunately not always aware of.
In addition, in this process you will receive tailor-made personal guidance from experienced TRE supervisors, tailored to your learning path. And the group supervision days, in which you meet and support each other, offer you lots of tips and inspiration. This creates a very educational and connecting learning environment and afterwards you can continue to support each other as colleagues in the field. That is also the reason why we do not provide online training.
We want to offer a very efficient training in a ventral manner (polyvagal) from close proximity and in connection with each other in a short time.
If you want three enjoyable days discovering how TRE® works for you personally and supports your growth, this is an excellent opportunity. We work within the safety of a small group with care and personal attention.
Discover how your release and recovery system works for you and how you can dose and control this recovery mechanism and integrate it into your daily life. Using concrete exercises, you will learn the language of your own body sensations and befriend them so that you understand your survival mechanism and from there you will learn to release yourself in a controlled way so that you come to enjoy life more fully.
Those who wish to explore TRE for use within their own professional context will get a solid foundation. After this module you can proceed to the next modules.
Purpose of this training?
After complete TRE® training, you will be able to use TRE® as a professional in guiding individuals and groups. The first step to become a TRE®-provider yourself starts with this three-day module 1.
It is very concrete and practical and adapted to our local situation, laws and ‘sensitivities’. It is accessible to everyone, even without a therapeutic background.
The choice whether or not to continue with the certification program only needs to be made after this module 1. Who wants to continue, as TRE®provider follows the other modules afterwards. (see TRE training/learning pathway).
Contents of Module 1:

- Introduction of TRE®.
- Polyvagal (porges) foundation: Introduction and connection to TRE®.
- Self-regulation; how to dose your personal release, control it and safely experience how it works for you.
- Anatomy, neurology and psychology of stress and trauma and its relationship to TRE®.
- Understanding and knowledge of the vibratory mechanism as a function of recovery.
- The psoas muscle and the flight-fight response linked to TRE®.
- Impact TRE® on brain, nervous system, fascia, muscles and hormones.
We explore the theory behind the methodology and there is plenty of time for learning and experiencing the exercises.
The training in Flanders is taught by the international trainers: Karin Nolmans and Jo Huylebroeck.
Location
Leuven. Close to the railway station. Exact location will be communicated after registration.
Overnight stay in the neighborhood possible.
