Please join TRE® Certification Trainer Maria Alfaro in her first in-person training since 2020!

Note: Module 1 is open to the public and it can be taken as a personal exploration by anyone who is interested in a deeper immersion in the tremor mechanism.

M2 and M3 are only open to trainees who attended Module 1 and who are enrolled in the TRE Global Certification Program. Enrollment in the program takes place after M1.

Module 1 – June 29 & 30, 2024 – 10am- 5:30pm (90 minute lunch break)

The first module introduces the anatomy, neurology, physiology and psychology of stress and trauma as it relates to TRE and the tremoring process. Participants learn about the latest research on the nervous system and also containment, grounding and self-regulating strategies. This is an experiential training with a strong focus on the trainee’s personal tremoring experience.

Module 2 – September 28 & 29, 2024 – 10am-5:30pm (90 minute lunch break)

In the second module participants deepen their knowledge and experience of TRE and their facilitation skills, they learn about modifications, Transference and Countertransference and about the role of fascia in the TRE process. They also begin to facilitate the TRE process for each other under supervision. This is an experiential training with a strong focus on how to share TRE with an individual client .

Module 3 – January 25 & 26, 2025 – 10am-5:30pm  (90 minute lunch break)

In the third module trainees broaden their understanding of the nervous system in relationship to TRE, they practice self and no-touch intervention and they learn about individual and group dynamics. They  also begin to facilitate TRE for each other in small groups under supervision. This is an experiential training with a strong focus on how to share TRE in a group setting.

Massage therapists and body workers who complete the program receive 30 CEUs nationally.

LMFTs, LPCCs and/or LEPs in California  receive 55 CEUs as required by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Cancelation policy:

Full refund minus $100 administration fee 14 days or more before Module start date. No refund 14 days or less of the Modules start date. Your account balance can be applied to another TRE workshop or training with Maria Alfaro within one year of the Module 1 training. After that date, no refund will be issued. Refund will be established from any unused modules or supervision sessions minus administrative charge will be issued. Credit Card or PayPal fees will also be deducted from any refund.

About your Trainer:

Maria is a native Italian and a US citizen and California resident since 1997.

Since 2004, Maria has facilitated TRE for thousands of people in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She assisted Dr. David Berceli, TRE’s founder, in dozens of trainings in the US, South Africa and Brazil; she co-taught with him in Japan and has led hundreds of public workshops and over 130 certification trainings worldwide.

At the beginning of the Covid pandemic Maria was part of an international pilot project to take the TRE Certification Program online and she facilitated online trainings and workshops ever since.

Maria is fluent in English and Italian and can she also supervise training sessions in French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Her eclectic background includes massage, dance, Chinese martial arts, international business management, acting and improvisational comedy, and decades of teaching yoga.

Maria is also the co-creator of Neurogenic Yoga™, the sister method of TRE.Her trainings provide CEUS for massage therapists and body workers nationally and for LMFTS in California.

Maria is known for creating a supportive, compassionate and entertaining learning environment that makes people have fun and feel safe.
