(Module 2 will take place on February 23, 24 and 25, dates and location to be confirmed, and is open only to participants who have completed Module 1 and are registered in the TRE® Certification Program). In order to become a Certified TRE® Provider and teach TRE®, the full Certification Program must be completed – this workshop is a part of the program. Module 1 can be taken as a stand-alone experience for those interested in learning about TRE for their personal use and interest.

Paul has taught TRE to individuals, groups and families in various venues. He has also taught TRE to soldiers and veterans . He introduced to the TRE world the use of inflatable balls as props to aid the tremor process. Paul traveled to the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan as part of an international team to teach TRE to professionals, military and police personnel, nurses and doctors and others interested in helping their fellow citizens recover from the effects of a massive natural disaster.  He loves training people to become providers and his training’s are full of not just didactic learning but experiential activities to help trainees integrate the tremor process more fully into their nervous systems. You can come to Module 1,  just to learn how to use TRE for your personal process of managing stress or if you intend to continue with Module 2 and eventual certification.

Topics to be Covered and Skills to be Acquired:

– the science of (neurology, anatomy, the human nervous system and physiology) of TRE
– integration of TRE into the student’s body and practice teaching one-to-one
– the role of the polyvagal theory in the TRE process
– how to manage transference and counter transference
– managing freezing, flooding and dissociation
– the neurobiology of trauma
– neuroplasticity and recovery
– the foundations of somatic learning and working with the body
