TRE FOR CHILDREN & VICTIMS OF GENDER VIOLENCE WORKSHOP for TRE Facilitators

Dr Melanie Salmon is offering an Specialized Workshop in Barcelona, Spain. It includes using TRE with “Diseases of the Freeze, (medical problems), Stress and Trauma in children and youth and a special section on working with sexual abuse and victims of gender violence.
Dr Salmon is a South African Medical Doctor, Gestalt psychotherapist and TRE certification trainer. She introduced TRE to her country in 2009 after returning from 3 decades in the UK. She worked alongside David Berceli initially and then took over as S African TRE National Co-ordinator 2011-2013. She has developed Tre training programs and done her own research using TRE with children, youth and disadvantaged communities.

The program includes:
- Developmental Trauma: the origins of trauma in childhood development 0-16 years
- Guidelines for working with children using TRE
- Working with youth and working with teenagers; working with shame; working with sexual abuse in under age clients
- Working with clients who have experienced gender violence or rape
